While I was gone one of the new secrataries used my office and needed to give out my office number so she could be reached. Since everyone just got back from the summer holidays the number only just got been updated to the permanent one. After several phone calls in rapid spanish where I struggled to get a "no entiendo" in I started answering my phone:
"Hola. Buenas. Soy Mia. No soy ..."
I believe the phrase in English is heading someone off at the pass.
